All About Us
Willow Green Acres is a beautiful family-owned property that is the home to an expansive nursery, full service landscaping design business, and a one-of-a-kind antique mall. The Chapman Family has over 40-years of experience in horticulture and operates the largest tree farm in the Springfield area. Willow Green Acres strives to offer the best in landscape materials, as well as design and installation, to its customers, just as Kevin’s father, Everett Chapman, promised his customers when he started the company. The Chapman family is excited to bring the nursery and the antiques together to serve their customers at one location.
Family History & Vision
20 years ago, Everett and Barbara Chapman started their third tree nursery. Before that, Colonial Nursery, had been started in 1969 in Blue Springs, Mo. That business grew exponentially and was sold to a group of employees in 1986. In 1987, they would turn right around a start their second nursery called Tablerock Nursery in Kimberling City, Missouri. After a successful run there, that business was also sold to some their employees. Then, in 2000, Everett and Barbara started Willow Green Gardens in Rogersville, Missouri. The nursery soon grew to become the largest tree nursery in southwest Missouri.
After creating and sharing so much good on this soil, in July 2017, Everett was called home to his Creator. Barbara remains active (and we mean active!) in her church, community, and the business. Their eldest son, Kevin, had been active at times in all three businesses but came to work full time at Willow Green Gardens in 2005. Kevin is now the managing owner of the business. He, along with his wife, Karen, are extremely excited to be developing the next iteration of the family business - Willow Green Acres.
